How It All Began for Ruth
My journey in photography began in middle school, where I first explored angles and basic edits on the iPhone 6 camera. The spark intensified in my freshman year of high school when my dad passed down his Nikon D250. While sporadically capturing moments, it wasn't until junior year of high school that I delved into senior portraits. At that point, a career in photography became a consideration.
Christmas of 2021 marked a turning point when my dad gifted me a Nikon D7500. I was beyond excited! As the years passed the realization dawned on me— how much joy photography brought me and the drive to pursue this dream. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive foundation, I set out to build a portfolio, establish a digital presence, create contracts, procure a computer, understand the common softwares, acquire equipment, and cultivate a legitimate reputation with clientele.
Balancing these endeavors with academic pursuits and work, I gradually assembled the necessary tools. In the initial stages of my junior year in college, I made a pivotal decision—quitting one of my two jobs to officially launch my website and embark on a professional journey in photography, ready to serve clients with passion and dedication.
